I wonder what Darwin would have thought about our adaptation to Zoom meetings? Let’s look at life in 2020 B.Z. (before Zoom).

Nine months ago it was unlikely that you would attend a business meeting:

From your bed

Only dressed from the waist up

With your dog barking in the background

In your car

On your phone with your co-workers arranged in boxes like Hollywood Squares or The Brady Bunch

I am amazed at how quickly the marketplace has adapted as well. YouTube is full of ideas for looking good on camera. QVC suggests that there is clothing perfect for a Zoom meeting. There are backgrounds available from every location you can imagine. Pick your spot and voila! Your living room is now a sunny beach with palm trees that sway.

What say you Mr. Darwin? Is this what survival of the fittest looks like? Yikes.
